Tirz dose not working? Help!

Hey everyone,

When RS first started at a low dose of tirzepatide, like 1mg every few days, it really helped control appetite, down to about 1200 calories a day. I was eating around 2700 before. Lost maybe 10lbs in the first month.

But now, RS is on a higher dose, around 3mg every other day, and the food noise is back. Yesterday RS ate around 3800 calories. It's frustrating. Any thoughts or advice?

Maybe a little bit of semaglutide on top? Or just up the tirz dose?

You know, some days it works great and other days you're thinking about that bag of chips in the cupboard. Is it real hunger, or just your brain wanting a reward?

I often eat when I'm not even hungry.

For your RS, I'd try adding a small dose of sema. But don't do it every other day like the tirz. Follow the normal once-a-week ramp-up schedule.

Yeah, constipation is the worst part of these meds. Gotta deal with it though.

Some folks take Miralax in the morning and Mag07 before bed. I haven't tried it myself.

If you don't want to increase the dose, maybe try cutting carbs? When I eat carbs, especially simple sugars, my cravings go wild. It resets overnight, so if you eat breakfast, skip the carbs and see if it helps with the food noise.

A protein shake with unsweetened almond milk, chocolate whey, nonfat greek yogurt and ice is a great add to my 7.5 tirz and TRT.

I just went up to 10mg and felt like crap for a couple days. Going to stick with 7.5 and protein for now. The only time I'm really hungry is after a THC gummy, gotta fight that lol

I started adding a tiny dose of sema to my 7.5 tirz. It really helps with the food noise and got me past a plateau.

My wife and I both get tirz from the same place. 7.5mg/week was good for me. I couldn't handle 10mg/week. Had side effects and lost weight too fast. I even split the dose into two injections a week to help with the side effects. My wife takes 15mg/week, no side effects, but slower weight loss. It's just different for everyone.

Same here. It never stopped my appetite much. I can still eat 4k calories of healthy foods pretty easily.

I maintain around 3.5k-4k calories a day. I've been maintaining, but each dose increase just makes me feel more down.

Sema made the mental issues worse. Even a tiny dose like 0.1mg.

Maybe Reta will work? I'm looking into Retatrutide to see if it does what I wanted Tirz to do.

That's what I was thinking! Surprised it took this long for someone to say it....

OP, you aren't on 7.5mg/wk lol how does 3.25mg x 4 = 7.5? (I know a week is only 7 days, just rounding for easy math) How do you think you're on 7.5mg?

I wonder how many people are just taking this without knowing how much they're taking lol

I get it! The appetite control is great at first, but we get used to it. 3.25mg every other day is a big jump. Have you talked to your doctor? Gradual increases can help.
