Tirzepatide noob - help w/mixing?

Hey all - complete peptide newbie here. I have a 10mg vial of Tirzepatide (lyophilized), BAC water, and insulin syringes (0.5ml, 100U). I'm aiming for 2.5mg twice a week. How much BAC water do I add to the vial, and how much do I draw each time? Also, should I get a bigger syringe?

This has been discussed extensively. Using the search function is highly suggested since success with peptides requires research and understanding of fundamentals. Reconstitution is pretty basic. It's all division. If you add 1mL of BAC to 10mg of Tirzepatide, simply divide the solution based on that concentration – so .25mL per dose.

https://primepeptides.co/pages/peptide-calculator can help if you're not comfortable doing the math.

Keep the BAC water under 2mL. I'd say 2mL max, giving you 4 shots of 0.5mL each. No need for a large syringe. 50 units per shot (0.5ml) is similar to what a popular brand name does.

The amount of water is irrelevant. Add some water, then divide that total volume by 4 to see how much to inject each week. 10mg divided by 2.5mg equals 4 doses.

I agree... if you don't grasp that 10mg contains four 2.5mg doses, you shouldn't be doing this.

Add 1 mL of water. Each unit on your syringe equals .01 mL. Use 25 units each week. By the fourth week, extracting all 25 units from the almost-empty vial might get difficult. If that happens, draw what you can from that vial, inject it, and then immediately inject the remainder from a new vial using a fresh syringe.

Since each dose is one-fourth of the 10mg vial, you'll inject one-fourth of the total BAC water you reconstitute with for each dose.

Add any amount of BAC water you like. Most people use 0.5 ml to 3ml. It depends on peptide strength, dose, and preferred injection volume. Try different doses and strengths in the calculator that @Mochi_Monster linked to see how they relate.

It's an add-on to get around FDA rules on compounding. Carnitine is just a supplement - Red Bull has it. Mixing it in overcomplicates dosing math and increases injury risk from confusion.

It truly doesn't matter how much water is added. It's like asking how much water do you drink with pills - whatever works for you! Start with the vial's content (10mg). Since you dose 2.5mg, it contains four 2.5mg doses (10/2.5=4). Pick an amount divisible by 4. Mix with 1ml (100 units), then inject 25 units for 2.5mg. It's all division and tracking liquid added initially.

I understand the math, but is there a standard BAC to peptide ratio? Is a minimum amount needed for dissolving? Is there an ideal concentration? I'm using 15mg of T currently compounded and switching to gray market. I planned 3ml for a T60 vial, yielding 4 shots of 75 units since that's my current dose. Any issues?

Good info for those starting out. Storage is key to keeping your peptides potent. I follow this advice:

  • Store vials sealed in plastic.
  • Keep mixed peptides refrigerated.

Sleeping so much on this med and I actually like my 3-4 hour naps too much. Not sure if it's the tirzepatide or if I'm dealing with depression. Vitamins and minerals on board. Can't get out of bed really. Any peptide suggestions that give energy? Help appreciated.
