Two years on Oz: My journey!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share - I've been taking Ozempic for two years, and I've been hitting the gym about six times a week for the past year. Feeling really good and I encourage anyone who's hesitant about trying it or thinks they can't make the required lifestyle changes—you absolutely can do it!

Pic on the left is from last weekend, a much healthier 200 lbs. I've gained some muscle and now I can jog for almost an hour without stopping!

Pic on the right? That's me at 340+ lbs, and I did not like moving around too much then.

Keep going strong and don't listen to the negativity.

That's incredible! I'm so impressed that you can jog for an hour straight! Congratulations on the results of all your commitment! ❤️

That's an amazing story. You should be incredibly proud of your achievement. I'm wondering, how did you begin exercising at 340+ lbs, or did you wait until you had lost some weight before really committing to a regular workout routine?

This is maybe a weird question, but did losing weight affect your tattoos at all?? I'm asking as someone who is heavily tattooed, haha. I just started semaglutide injections two weeks ago with intense exercise three times a week and I'm slightly worried about when I lose the weight.

Great question! I started with very gentle walks, just 10-15 minutes a day. Then, I slowly increased the duration and intensity. Water aerobics were also a lifesaver! It's low-impact and feels great.

I'm just reaching a BMI of 25 after about 3 months on Ozempic. Still have about 10 lbs to go. It's been a real learning experience. I can't really eat many carbs unless they're from veggies. I have to exercise. I was snacking wayyyy too much before.

People say these kinds of meds are an easy way out, but nothing else has helped me understand my body better and encouraged me to make lasting changes.

That's such an important point. It's about the lifestyle changes just as much as the medication itself. Congrats on your progress!
