Yeah, constipation is a common side effect. I've found that staying hydrated and eating plenty of fiber is crucial. I even use the MeAgain app, and the GLP-1 capybara reminder helps me remember to drink water and eat fiber!

Oh man, the constipation is no joke! I went through a rough patch on tirz where I felt completely backed up.

Water and fiber helped a little, but I started thinking about a different way to approach it. I read some stuff from Ashley Koff (a registered dietitian) and she talks about how piling on more fiber when things are already slow can make it even worse. She said it's like creating a traffic jam.

She recommends getting the right *kind* of fiber (prebiotic soluble stuff), digestive enzymes, and magnesium. This made me rethink what I was doing, instead of just throwing Miralax at the problem.

She also mentioned drinks and shakes formulated for GLP-1 users that have some of this stuff built in. I'm thinking about ordering one to see if it helps, instead of just hoping for the best.

I try to keep my fiber intake consistent with chia pudding, oats, veggies, fruits like prunes and pears, and whole-grain bread. I use Meagain to track my food and see if there are any culprits and if I'm getting enough fiber.

Other things that help me:
* Water (not just coffee)
* Short walks after meals when I can
* Miralax if it's been a few days (doctor approved)

I have to take two extra-strength Ex-Lax pills to go. But to be fair, I was only pooping twice a week even before starting this medication.

I understand the struggle. Another thing to consider is the potential impact of antacids. I've seen cases where long-term antacid use actually worsened reflux symptoms. Everyone's different, of course, but it's worth exploring all possibilities with your doctor.
