Weight Coming Back After GLP-1s?

About a pound per week was regained in the study I read.

I set a target weight for myself and only use a smaller 'maintenance' dose when I go over it. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but even when I took a tiny dose every two weeks, I kept losing. I want to stay where I am now.

We can definitely revert to our previous behaviors, but I hadn't considered it from Grogu's and others' viewpoints. I suppose it depends on your starting point!

I've found that GLP-1s have helped me develop the habit of eating two large meals each day. I'm essentially doing intermittent fasting without any conscious effort. They say it takes more than 20 days of consistency to develop a habit. I suspect that's accurate, but I was also in a relatively "privileged position". I'm only about 110 pounds over my usual weight, and I'm also tall, which seems to make it easier to achieve a caloric deficit (I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it's my perception).

Thanks for sharing that video. When she began with "Do you need to stay on GLPs for life? The short answer is...it depends." I was hooked.

It's great to witness someone acknowledge that we all have a different beginning and might have varying requirements for health maintenance. Not many of the YouTube peptide personalities appear to do that.

People don't like to think about it, but mental effort is limited.
Because of this I think I might actually go ahead and stay on them forever. I simply don't have the willpower to manage otherwise.

You know, some people have to stop these meds not because they want to, but because they have to. I saw a post on Reddit where someone has been on Mounjaro for over a year and lost a good bit of weight, but then started having lots of GI problems. Hopefully some of the new drugs coming out will be easier on the stomach.

That's interesting. I wonder about the long term ramifications of peptides like Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 too. I saw a post from someone who was taking them for the better part of a year and couldn't tell if they were doing anything at all. It seems like some folks respond better than others. I think I'll stick with the GLP-1s for the time being.

Fast if the scale stalls after a week. Do an LMNT at 18 hours then 24-48 hour fast. Every time I do that, I lose and it stays off. Keep me on track for weekly loss. 24-48 hours burns serious fat.

Whatever direction you decide on, check a half-life calculator for your plan. Cutting back creates the same unexpected pharmacology as ramping up. For instance, if you wanted to go from 3mg weekly to 1.5mg weekly, you'd skip the next shot then restart 1.5mg two weeks later. Counter-intuitive but gets you steady in one week instead of dragging it out a month.
