Weight loss without exercise on GLP-1's?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
This medication is only one piece of the puzzle. My cousin takes it purely for diabetes, not weight, and somehow still managed to gain weight while on it. Eating properly and staying active still matter, and no medication handles that part for you.

Someone correct me if I'm off base, but isn't it really the reduced eating and activity driving the loss rather than the medication itself? Why would switching medications change how much weight comes off, unless you mean the hunger's still present on ozempic specifically?

Dropped 40 pounds over five months on ozempic, with plenty of exercise mixed in. It's never fully stopped those small binges for me, but staying active enough offsets it. If it actually killed the binges entirely, I'd probably be losing 12-15 pounds a month instead.

Honestly I haven't done much. Ozempic makes me eat less, but I haven't put real effort into losing, just smaller meals and a workout every other day or so.

Some people do no activity at all and still lose weight. Everyone responds differently to both surgery and meds, so you'll need to see which works best. I've heard of people post surgery on glp-1s who are 5 years in and haven't reached their goals. Personally I'm 61 3/4 with no patience, and waiting for slow results wasn't for me. After my surgery I tried ozempic first, three pounds in three months, so no, even on top of the VSG. In my opinion any activity or steps help you lose faster, by speeding your metabolism and keeping a healthy routine.

exercise just isn't realistic for me right now either. i've been taking 1mg of ozempic since february and i'm down 36 pounds. kind of expected more honestly, but still, solid progress.
