Went From Heavy to...Less Heavy!

I kicked this off in May '25, rocking a BMI near 42. Now? Hovering around 29. Haven't seen this weight in like, two decades. Back in '19, I got close using liraglutide (you know, Saxenda/Victoza), but felt guilty about the cost, started cutting back, and eventually stopped. Last winter? Surprise weight gain, messing with my health big time. Had to do something.

Seventy-five pounds gone in nine months. But, honestly, I'm winging the goal part. Gonna keep losing, sure, but gotta focus on body recomposition. Working out? Still a struggle, even though I dig lifting. Just...tired, you know?

Major regret: no 'before' pics. Body image issues are real. Always ducked photos because of my weight. Now? I'm a stranger in old friends' eyes, and even my own pics!

Lifelong battle turned into lifelong process. No more feeling defeated, just...resigned to sticking with this if it means better health and a longer life. Newbies, it's worth it. Veterans, hang tough. Maintainers, you're the heroes. We've got this!

Woohoo for almost-normal weight! Been struggling for years, and now I'm at a healthy weight for over 1.5 years. Unreal! I could never keep it off before. This stuff is like magic.

I've dropped 14 kilos with MJ since August. Can't lift weights because of a bum shoulder. Just walk when I can, plus I get dizzy spells. Super happy though, because my ankles and knees don't hurt going down stairs, and I can cross my legs! Weigh 69 kilos, 10 kilos from my goal (8 would be fine).

It's not a failure at all. That mindset shift is key – seeing it as an investment. 75lbs proves it's working. Keep it up!

Almost there myself, but progress has slowed way down. Hope I make it soon. Doesn't help that I've shrunk an inch due to age. Argh...lol

75lbs is huge. Congrats on the progress.

I get the expense guilt. Been there, rationing doses. It's a terrible cycle. If cost is a concern, there are ways to make it sustainable long-term. I found some choices that made staying on it way more doable. DM me if you wanna compare notes.

Seeing these progress reports is so inspiring! I have a friend who dropped about 40 pounds in 5 months using a GLP-1. Said it totally quieted the 'food noise' in their head. Really hoping it works for some of my clients, too.

Thanks! I'll probably DM you shortly. I'm always looking for tips and tricks to make this more sustainable in the long run.

Wow, 95 pounds in a little over a year? That's amazing! I'm just starting out, but that's the kind of progress I'm dreaming of. Did you notice a big difference when you hit the 1mg dose?

Doc jumped you to 1mg too fast. Start with 0.25mg for 4 weeks, then 0.5mg week 5, lowest effective dose as long as possible. Try stepping back to 0.5mg for a while. Tirzepatide's better but no harm trying semaglutide properly.

We're here to find vendors and protocols so we can actually access the stuff and know how to use it, right? I joined when I wanted to try a new peptide. Vendor site said inject the whole vial twice weekly — that made no sense to me. Learned from the forum that 2mg standard was the move.

Yeah, it's the shot for sure. Took a while to connect it but I'm convinced now—fatigue hits hard the day after I inject. Sometimes worse than others but this past week I was totally wiped and had to call out of work. I'm at 5mg, three months in, and staying here, not going higher.
