I kicked this off in May '25, rocking a BMI near 42. Now? Hovering around 29. Haven't seen this weight in like, two decades. Back in '19, I got close using liraglutide (you know, Saxenda/Victoza), but felt guilty about the cost, started cutting back, and eventually stopped. Last winter? Surprise weight gain, messing with my health big time. Had to do something.
Seventy-five pounds gone in nine months. But, honestly, I'm winging the goal part. Gonna keep losing, sure, but gotta focus on body recomposition. Working out? Still a struggle, even though I dig lifting. Just...tired, you know?
Major regret: no 'before' pics. Body image issues are real. Always ducked photos because of my weight. Now? I'm a stranger in old friends' eyes, and even my own pics!
Lifelong battle turned into lifelong process. No more feeling defeated, just...resigned to sticking with this if it means better health and a longer life. Newbies, it's worth it. Veterans, hang tough. Maintainers, you're the heroes. We've got this!
