18 years in the iron game, 4 gyms, and loads of people have come and gone: injuries, boredom, stalled progress (so many), or steroid cyclers who crash after coming off and quit. My schedule is two or three full-body sessions weekly: 15 min stretching then 45-50 min lifting, short rests, none of those 5 minute phone breaks between sets. Kind of HIIT, milder. I tried plenty of routines and this one wins. I carry more muscle than nine out of ten people there, even guys training hard or on low steroid doses, and I'm in and out without tracking muscle groups. Some people love the gym, I don't. Afterward I feel good, and in my mid 40s (male) I look sharper than plenty of twenty-somethings, but it isn't fun anymore and I refuse to spend 7 days there. Other hobbies fill my time.
