I had a coverage gap like that too. I have an HSA, and my doctor sent a Zepbound prescription to the manufacturer's direct pharmacy, specifically the KwikPen version, written a bit higher so clicks could be counted. We planned to titrate up on Mounjaro anyway, so it worked out, because US Mounjaro only comes as a single-use pen with no dose adjustment. I paid from the HSA. Pricing there differs wildly from what insurance shows. My insurer seems to get billed over 1k monthly for my Mounjaro, while that dose costs $399 in the Zepbound version. You need the doctor to send it to that direct program instead of your local pharmacy, and you are billed like a patient without insurance. Sort of a hack, but it may bridge your gap. Good luck!
