Zempy off-ramp: what's next?

Been quite a ride, folks. Whew!

Back in July (before starting), I was at 208lbs.
Now it's March and I'm floating around 181lbs. I even stopped taking my "Zempy" injections about four weeks ago (can definitely share more details about that if there's interest).
My original goal was 150 lbs, but honestly, 165 seems more realistic now, especially with my focus on building muscle. For reference, I'm about 5'7" tall.

I kinda stalled around the 10lb mark in December, which is when I got serious about exercising again. Plus, a breakup really kicked things into high gear (lol, thanks a lot, ex!). No crazy diet, just lifting weights a couple times a week at a bootcamp-style gym, throwing in some cardio here and there, and trying to get to hot yoga twice a week. Happy to answer any questions about my progress so far.

Just some minor edits to even out my skin tone in the photos, nothing major.

Starting weight: 208 lbs
Current weight: 181 lbs
Goal weight: 150-165 lbs

This is exactly the kind of post I needed to see. Everyone focuses on being *on* Zempy, but I'm really curious about what happens after you stop. Have you noticed any weight creeping back on since you've been off it? I've been working on changing my habits and hitting the gym three times a week (strength training included) since starting.

Hey there, I'm a type 2 diabetic and just started ozempic about a month ago. I've only lost like 5 pounds, and I want to lose more. I know diet and exercise are key, but everyone's body is different. What specific changes did you make, and how can I apply them to my daily routine, both mentally and physically?

Most people who are overweight aren't lacking motivation. There are typically far more complex underlying issues.

Good question! I was also worried about that. So far, I'm happy to report that my weight has stayed pretty stable. I think the exercise and habit changes I made while on the medication really helped to solidify things.

That's incredible! I've gone from an XXL to a M/L in pants. It's such a great feeling fitting into smaller sizes.

I love seeing these posts. I'm down 70 pounds in 9 months using semaglutide. It's slow going after the first few months!

Okay, here's what helped me: mentally, I stopped focusing on the scale every single day. It drove me nuts! Instead, I focused on how my clothes fit and how much energy I had. Physically, I started small – 15-minute walks. Once I felt good with that, I added in the weightlifting. It’s all about building momentum!
