Not feeling anything in the first two days on a starter dose is normal. The effects build over weeks. No side effects early is a good start, not a sign it is not working.
started december 2024 at 410 lbs, went ozempic then mounjaro then wegovy because insurance kept changing. mounjaro approved finally and i've stuck with it. bariatric surgery scheduled for august and i'm wondering — can i keep taking mounjaro after or do i need to wait until plateau? don't want...
These influencers could actually help if they made meal plans for hitting macros while on the meds. Food noise might be gone but now you're scrambling to eat enough protein and keep balanced. That's a real gap they're missing.
was super fatigued my first week, bit of nausea on day 1. staying hydrated really helped even though i hate drinking water when nauseated. barely had side effects after week 1!
jumped my dose for no real reason lol. been on 100mg 3x per week, went to 150mg today. flushed hard, had to sit. rest of day was fine. gonna stick with 100mg and just bump frequency if needed.
on olanzapine and it's inspiring seeing how this med helps people with psych-med weight gain. tried it before, works better now. down 25 lbs since january. meds are still necessary but i'm way more active this time. hopeful it'll keep working.
Totally agree with MiniMe-By-Christmas about the food being a 'trick'. It's like my body is saying 'EAT SOMETHING' even if it's the wrong thing. Making sure I eat regularly, even small amounts, has helped a bit.
I had the same fears and I'm prediabetic. started ozempic and no regrets. switched to tirzepatide when the first one plateaued. there's always options if something stops working. you won't hate food, you'll just feel full way faster.
I saw another story here about someone who lost a lot of weight and reached their goal. They mentioned that the weight just melted off for the first 9 months or so, but then they got sick with a possible ulcer. Anyone else experience something similar?
