    Glycine: Good for blood sugar?

Glycine has minimal glycemic impact in isolation - the Gannon study confirms it. The interesting part is the insulin response: glycine does trigger some insulin secretion without the glucose spike, which may actually be part of why it doesn't drive fat storage the way carb-sweeteners do. As a...

    Down 130lbs... still going!

To add to what M_R_S_Health asked, the specifics really do matter to people reading here who feel like their own situation is too far gone. Starting weight, what changed with food, whether exercise was part of it. The details let others map it onto their own story. You look like a different...

Reta dose - up too fast?

The 4-week minimum per dose is the practical floor - that's enough time for the GLP-1 receptor occupancy to reach steady state and for appetite adaptation to complete. Going faster creates two problems: you can't distinguish side effects from the dose versus normal adaptation, and you lose the...

    GLP-1 newbie struggles!

I saw someone mention Metamucil. Just a warning: be CAREFUL how you take it! Don't ever put the dry powder in your mouth and then try to swallow it with a little water. It can swell up and create a choking hazard in your throat. It needs a LOT of water to work properly!

    GLP-1 newbie struggles!

When I increased from 2.5 mg to 5 mg, I started getting dry mouth too. I've been on 5 mg ever since. I've been on this journey for two years now and I'm almost at my goal weight. During a recent dental appointment, they noticed some early signs of cavities. My dentist said GLP-1 meds can change...

7 months on Sema and feeling great!

Oz and Wegovy are both semaglutide. Wegovy's for weight loss only, not diabetics. strengths might differ but unless your dose goes up I don't see how switching changes anything. if you're stalled and can afford it, Zepbound or Mounjaro use tirzepatide which studies show better weight loss.

    GLP-1 newbie struggles!

I've always had problems with constipation. I take a stool softener every day and eat two prunes with my breakfast. As long as I do that regularly, things keep moving! But if I forget the prunes, I end up needing something stronger like dulcolax or miralax.

    Skin Tightening Tips, Pls?

gi concerns are real but you can manage them. stay at the lowest dose longer — don't stack side effects by moving up fast. ginger chews, smaller meals, hydration all help the first few weeks. if your gi is already handled, the med usually doesn't make it worse long-term.

Half dose too little, whole too much?

Thanks Jenny_54 and Jenny17! I'll try splitting the dose. Maybe that'll be the trick to getting rid of this nausea.

    Accidental IM injection?

I'm curious about BPC-157. I've seen it mentioned for healing. Can you even take it orally, or does it have to be injected to work? I saw some capsules for sale, but they're expensive.

Half dose too little, whole too much?

I started in June on 0.25mg, and it was amazing. Within hours, the constant cravings vanished. I ate way less and felt normal hunger for once. Loved it! BUT I didn't lose weight for 6 weeks (even with a new diet). Only side effect was occasional sulphur burps. Then in October, I upped it to...
