    Mounjaro - 2 Years Later!

The alcohol desire stopping completely by 2 years is the reward circuit quieting that some people get and others don't - it's the same mechanism as food noise reduction but applied to the drinking reflex.

Weight loss stall - driving me nuts!

I have been hearing that if the meds stop working, there are other alternatives. Maybe talk to your doctor about switching? I saw someone on a forum say that ozempic quit working on them, so they moved to something else.

Weight loss stall - driving me nuts!

People always disagree with me, but I take a few days off when this happens. I don't go overboard, but I don't count calories and I eat more carbs. I eat out, enjoy some sweets, and take it easy on exercise. Usually, I only do this for two days. It works best for me if I do it the two days...

Weight loss stall - driving me nuts!

It sounds like what you're experiencing is a plateau, which is a completely normal part of weight loss. Your body is trying to find a new equilibrium and slowing down the process to conserve energy. It's a natural defense mechanism. If you're still stuck after about four months, it could mean...

Had that last few weeks on 5.0mg, stuck to days 2–3 post-injection. No nausea but food seemed gross. Few days into 7.5mg and it's gone — food noise back off though. Everyone's different. Learned I need to manage GI stuff: lots of yogurt, probiotic, Metamucil in shakes, electrolytes, Pepto backup.

    GLP-1 kicking my butt...

food noise is way harder than hunger for me. solved it by lowering dose but dosing more often — needs vials though, pens don't work for that. 2.5 works for many but technically it's not even therapeutic. try 5mg first to see if the noise keeps going.

    GLP-1s are LIFE!

Blood sugar stability and a size 22 at the same time is the T2D metabolic reset the medication is designed around - the scale number ends up being secondary to the insulin picture.

    Retatrutide: Anyone else tried it?

Just a reminder that lifestyle changes—diet and exercise—are still important, even with medications like retatrutide. These drugs can be a tool, but they're not a magic bullet. Building healthy habits is key for long-term success.

    Retatrutide: Anyone else tried it?

For those interested, retatrutide acts on GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon receptors. Semaglutide (Wegovy) primarily targets GLP-1, while tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound) hits both GLP-1 and GIP. The addition of glucagon is what makes retatrutide unique and potentially more effective for weight loss and...
