2.5mg still working after months?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Stuck at 1mg going on three years. Stomach discomfort went from days to just a few hours after injection. Eat normally now. Holding strong! Using it for PCOS and endometriosis inflammation, plus insulin issues. Makes such a difference.

Currently on 4mg one time weekly. Spent about three months at 2.5mg before that. Didn't feel the need to split doses and the weekly schedule is working perfectly.

Been at one dose for months and it's holding strong. Started heavy and the med's been a lifesaver - dropped about 180 pounds overall. Still have work ahead but the wins add up. Spreading doses out when weight drops too fast is smart, not a failure. Body finds its rhythm when you ease off the gas.

The 2.5mg window is where most people spend too little time before moving up. If food noise is increasing after 2 months, that's the signal to move - but waiting a full 4 weeks at any new dose is standard before reading it as a plateau. Staying at 2.5 longer isn't losing gains - it's building baseline data while the gut adapts. The jump to 5mg typically lands cleaner once you're 6-8 weeks into 2.5. Going slower now means better tolerance later.

Moved to 2mg. After four weeks, no visible skin change, still on it five months later. Partner commented around three or four months. Stopping when the vial runs out.

Still working at 2.5mg after 5 months is the unusual end of the response curve - most see the suppression floor drop by now. If food isn't appetizing without restricting consciously, the GLP-1 is doing more than the dose typically suggests. The case for staying is real.

Plateauing at 5mg after two months is worth discussing with your prescriber - sometimes the jump to 7.5mg breaks the stall, other times it's a dietary factor the medication can't address on its own.

Still at 2.5mg at five months and still suppressing that hard is a real response - the dose spread idea is worth trying. Protein first at whatever meals you can manage is the main thing when calories are this low.

Nicky2008 just described my exact old Monday restart loop. Exhausting cycle. The fact that it actually stopped is still kind of surprising.

15% of starting weight in 12 weeks at 2.5mg is genuinely excellent. If the question is whether it's still working and the answer is 'I struggle to eat enough,' the answer is very clearly yes. Don't fix what isn't broken.

5 months at 2.5mg with zero appetite and still struggling to eat is actually a useful data signal for when to stay put rather than push up. If the mechanism is already fully engaged at 2.5mg, going higher often just adds side effects rather than benefit. The question for long-term management is finding the minimum effective dose, and it sounds like you may already be there.

Don't get your hopes too high. Mounjaro's got the same devoted following as the keto and vegan crowds. 2.5mg actually made me hungrier. No beginner advice from me, but curious if anyone's titrated weekly or even every other week. Sticking at 2.5 for a whole month feels like a rip-off in my book, same with the 30-day expiration on opened pens. Feels like I'm losing money, time, and patience over this.

Mounjaro actually clicked much better on this second attempt. For comparison, tried a different med twice as sort of a protest against a price increase, and that second round just didn't feel effective. Also still sitting at a fairly moderate Mounjaro dose seven months in, haven't rushed the increases or gone past what worked before. Lightest I've been in ten years at this point. Hoping the year ahead treats you better and brings you closer to where you want to be.

Started Mounjaro at 2.5mg a month ago. Nothing changed, food noise stayed loud and overeating kept happening. Bumped to 5.0mg yesterday, fingers crossed this level actually delivers.

Seventeen days and already six pounds down, sounds like a little patience is all that's needed here. Generally it's four weeks minimum at 2.5mg, then four more at 5mg before stepping up to 7.5mg, assuming everything's tolerating fine. But honestly, sounds like you're well on track, remember 2.5 is really just there to acclimate your system to MOUNJARO.

2.5mg genuinely did nothing for me. Zero appetite suppression, zero side effects. Been on 5mg for two months now, and honestly it fluctuates week by week. Some stretches it works incredibly well and food barely crosses my mind, resisting it feels effortless. Other weeks I can blow through my eating plan across multiple meals without much sense of fullness at all.

That said, results have shown up more often than not lately across the last three weeks. Stick with it consistently. You might look back one day and realize it's done more for you than you'd noticed at the time.

For me, the most obvious change from Mounjaro is that snacking basically stopped. I'm not constantly thinking about eating something. Nothing crosses my lips once dinner wraps up, whereas before I'd snack constantly at midnight and beyond.

One thing it hasn't touched for me is sweets. Put dessert in front of me and I still want it just as much. Doesn't kill that craving the way some people describe. Still reach for something sweet pretty regularly.
