So bummed. Looking for some support here. I started a GLP-1 back in the middle of January and I'm not seeing much happening. I've been on 1mg for about two weeks, but been taking the GLP-1 med for like three months total. I gained about 45 pounds over maybe six years (the most I've ever weighed--215 pounds). A lot of it happened when I was in a super stressful job and dealing with all kinds of personal stuff, and I was super sedentary working from home.
I'm in a better place now, new supportive partner.
I was excited to kick off weight loss, but now I'm wondering if it's worth the cost. I've only lost maybe five pounds total since January. My appetite felt suppressed at first, but Noom lowers the dosage, then raises it back up, and it lands at 1mg (that's their highest dose).
I eat pretty well. I avoid red meat, and I'm not much for sweets. We cook at home so I can keep an eye on salt, etc. My boyfriend can't have gluten, so there's not a lot of bread or carbs around. I think the appetite suppression is working. I get full faster. I often say, "I can't eat another bite," more than before.
But I just cancelled with Noom (didn't know they don't go above 1mg), and I'm in between jobs, so I'm paying myself. I'm trying Weight Watchers and checking for my consultation soon.
Anyway, what do other people think? Should I keep doing this? I'm not a "super responder," so is it not working, or do I need more?
