I'm down 170+ pounds and feeling like I'm finally hitting my stride! This whole journey with tirzepatide has been life-altering. It gave me the push and belief in myself that I desperately needed. Flash forward almost 3 years and I barely recognize the person I was before. I'm currently on a slow taper, hoping to be completely off GLP-1s in maybe 4 months, fingers crossed my blood sugars cooperate.
My number one piece of advice for those just beginning: GLP-1s are a tool, not a miracle. If you want long-term success, you *still* have to put in the effort. Change your eating habits, embrace a healthier lifestyle. GLP-1s just make it easier to stick to it.
Also, START LIFTING WEIGHTS! Especially my fellow women! Don't buy into the idea that tirzepatide melts muscle – *any* weight loss can cause muscle loss if you don't eat enough protein and lift. I've *gained* muscle while losing weight.
