Mounjaro - Hunger coming back?

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Hunger returning after the first few days on Mounjaro is normal at the starting dose - the suppression becomes more consistent once the dose builds over weeks 2-4 and stays there.

Hunger returning in the first week after initial silence is pretty standard - the first dose flattens appetite dramatically but it takes a few more weeks to find a consistent level.

The cycle-linked hunger spike on Mounjaro is so consistent across accounts that the 'is the medication failing' moment followed by figuring out the timing is almost a rite of passage. The medication is still working - the hormonal fluctuation is just louder than the suppression for a few days. Tracking it cycle over cycle usually shows it stabilizing over time.

Food aversions softening at the second or third bump is the expected pattern - the early aversions are partly the adjustment effect and partly the novelty wearing off. Electrolytes tend to get overlooked when intake drops that much that fast. What's the water and sodium intake looking like alongside the Mounjaro?

The reversal of everything rather than just hunger when stopping is the clinical reality that gets lost in the weight-loss framing - the medication manages a chronic condition, and calling it a weight-loss tool sets the wrong expectation for how to think about long-term use.
