Stable maintenance dose — how long did it take to find yours?

Finally hit my goal weight last month after about 14 months on tirz. Doc and I are in the maintenance-dose-tuning phase — currently down at 5mg from 10mg, but appetite is creeping back a bit, so might step up to 7.5 for maintenance. Curious how long it took others to find their stable maintenance level after reaching goal. Did you go down step by step and see what held the weight, or did you find your number quickly? Also wondering if anyone went off completely and what that looked like.

Still waiting for major changes after 6 weeks with minimal difference so far. Others hit their target around week 2-3 of the fourth dose, so I'm getting close hopefully.

Timeline and total loss together tell more than either alone. The maintenance answer depends on both.

Finding the maintenance floor is empirical - appetite creep returning at 5mg means the effective dose is somewhere above that, and stepping to 7.5 to test the suppression boundary is the right move.

The mood stability at maintenance is one of the least-talked-about outcomes - when the constant food-related mental cycling stops, the bandwidth it frees up for everything else is real.

Cranking to whatever dose needed and then finding the sweet spot in the 15-17mg range where loss was slowing is the practical version of the 'max dose isn't always better' lesson. The OP at 14 months to goal and now in maintenance tuning is the post-goal question most threads here don't get to. What did the slowdown at 15-17mg look like - was it appetite coming back or just a natural plateau?

7.5 to maintain at 5mg is a really satisfying progression to read. Finding that step-down where you hold without the plateau creep is the thing people spend months trying to figure out. Sounds like you landed in a good spot.
