Ate too much on Sema? Help!

Special-occasion overeating on sema is common - the medication reduces the baseline appetite but doesn't fully suppress the response to compelling food or social eating pressure. For Valentine's or holiday meals, the practical approach is eating slowly, front-loading protein as you did, and...

Down 76 lbs! Life is different!

The alcohol and substance reduction that comes with Reta is a commonly underreported side of the transformation - the GLP-1 receptor component affects the reward circuits that drive both food cravings and other compulsive seeking. For some people the behavioral change is as significant as the...

5 months in and feeling GREAT!

The binge eating relief is one of the more significant functional changes - the medication removes the compulsive override that made the binge cycle feel unavoidable. Relearning how to eat while the suppression holds is what builds the maintenance path. The powerlessness-to-food framing is...

    Tirz stronger than sema?

I've noticed that progress pics really help me stay motivated. Zappy Health recommended taking them every month, and it's crazy to see the changes over time. Like Slightly_Smaller said, everyone reacts differently, but seeing progress keeps me on track.

    Tirz stronger than sema?

Tirz is a game changer! I think it’s way more effective with virtually no side effects – at least for me it has been.

    GLP-1 Noob - Stalling?

Don't get discouraged! I've been on 15mg since June and I've lost about 90lbs total, but the last few months the weight has come off super slow. Like, maybe 2-3 pounds a month. But I am losing inches! I also stall every 10 pounds or so, sometimes for weeks at a time. I swim 5 days a week, and...

    GLP-1 Noob - Stalling?

It's generally more effective to take a smaller dose more frequently than a larger dose less often. 7.5mg every 6 days, for example, could be better than 12.5mg every 10 days. But as others have said, talk to your doctor before changing things up too much!

    Ozempic under fire, again?

I saw that Sacha Baron Cohen is supposedly using Ozempic for his superhero body. Seems like everyone in Hollywood is on it.

    Ozempic under fire, again?

Ugh, great. As someone with diabetes who finally got their life back with this medication because the usual stuff didn't do anything for me, this is just fantastic. :/

    Hit my goal weight! 🎉

I read a comment saying to talk to a dietician, if you can. It's great advice, they can give you a path that isn't too restrictive. Also, people need to chillax about the BMI index, because it's inaccurate. Muscle/fat distribution matters a lot!
