    Dose escalation: be bold?

Key thing there is it actually works. Personally I'm team low and slow, but plenty of folks genuinely need to run higher doses. Nothing wrong with that. Whatever gets results.

    Restarting GLP-1 after surgery?

10mg to 7.5mg to 5mg over 22 months while maintaining the diabetes management piece is the step-down maintenance story that shows the medication can work at lower doses than the peak loss dose. The insulin adjustment at the lower dose is worth tracking - the A1C improvement to 5.1 is already at...

Crap! Took Cagri instead of Tirz...

Reta not agreeing and the survo stack having sides - cagri as the next logical add at 15-20mg tirz is a reasonable plan and the OP's accidental 15mg cagri dose will give you a lot of data points on how you actually respond to it before you intend to. Not ideal timing but useful information...

Coming off GLP-1s... anyone done it?

r/glpgrad is the right resource for tapering and stopping protocols - the community there has collected a lot of first-person experience that the clinical literature hasn't fully addressed yet. The cold turkey vs. gradual tapering question has a clearer answer there than you'll find from most...

    Tirz dose not working? Help!

6 months from 0.5 to 2.4mg with twice weekly doing better than once is a useful data point. The twice weekly switch at 2 months when suppression was fading between doses is the right timing to try it. 30 lbs on that path is a good result. How has the suppression held at 1.2mg twice weekly now?

    Down sizes! 6 months progress.

12 lbs the first 3 weeks and then nothing in week 4 is exactly the pattern a lot of people describe early on. The scale stall after a fast start is frustrating but it almost always breaks again. The 47 lbs in the OP shows what sticking with it through those weeks looks like.

    Reta strength fading already?

The day 1-2 strong suppression and then hunger returning by day 3 is the classic early Reta pattern - the medication front-loads the effect around the injection and then it fades as it metabolizes before the next shot. Tracking the 1-2x per week electrolyte issue before starting is worth noting...

Crazy to stack GLP-1s with Metformin?

If the full therapeutic dose is on board, adding a second GLP-1 agonist doesn't increase receptor binding - it just adds systemic exposure. Metformin operates through an entirely different pathway and that combination has decades of clinical evidence behind it.

    Ozempic then Mounjaro?

Ozempic plateau then full response on Mounjaro is a documented pattern - the dual GLP-1/GIP mechanism reaches appetite pathways sema alone doesn't. Getting off the other diabetes meds while managing weight is the compound win here.

Down 20, but it doesn't *look* like it?

Inches off the waist while weight training means body recomp - the scale doesn't capture that shift.

Foods you just can't stand anymore?

Chicken aversion is one of the more common ones - something about the texture or smell just stops working. Some people find it comes back eventually, others don't.

    GLP-1s: Study Share

    Battling the Nausea Rollercoaster

Just did dose 2 end of April. Yeah, nausea hit me but I used otc stuff for it. Biggest issue is eating too much at once — soon as I feel full I stop. Been taking the anti-nausea med an hour before dinner and it helps a ton. Haven't thrown up tho.

    Burn that belly fat!

Lot to think about: Does the vendor have what you want? If not, dead end. Do they have current CoAs with real validation codes? Getting closer. Prices match other China sellers? If not, check shipping costs harder. Skip free shipping—want priority. My first vendor sent crazy paperwork with MSDS...

    Pen tricks: worth it?

got uncontrollable itch started on my back then all over limbs. crazy. doc gave steroids and antihistamine, 60 percent better but on double dose. rash moves around mostly limbs. healing super slow too, itchy bite took eight weeks.

    Supplements: all the hype?

I agree with PinLady -- protein is KEY. I've stalled before even though I was eating 1200-1400 calories. I wasn't getting enough protein. Protein shakes, greek yogurt, cottage cheese helped me a lot!

    Supplements: all the hype?

Nope. Real food has everything you could possibly need. That said, some supplements are just handy. I take a multi because I'm prone to deficiencies, and eating less will just make it worse. Protein powder is great when I need to eat but don't feel like it. I also take fiber sometimes, but I...
