The cosmetic framing misses what it actually does. For people where the weight is tied to real health risk, this is not about appearance. The food relationship change alone changes everything else.
I totally get the gym thing, NJ_Steward. It took me forever to get over my fear of being judged. I felt like I needed to lose weight BEFORE I could even set foot in a gym. So backward, I know, but that's where I was. So glad I finally went!
It's been 5 months for me and I can barely exercise at all. Walking up the stairs to my place is hard enough. I'm just exhausted most of the time. I miss kickboxing! I'll probably wait another month (I'm almost at my goal weight) and then taper off to see if I can get back to working out.
I wanted to start a thread about how much better exercise is when you're on one of these meds. Has anyone else noticed they enjoy working out more now?
Wow, reading all these stories really gives me hope. I'm only on week 9, I'm hoping I get to a point where I just don't even think about alcohol, I guess it just takes time and finding the right dose? I'm on 2.5mg and it feels like it's starting to not work.
It happened instantly for me at 2.5mg. The cravings just disappeared. But now it's week 9 at the same dose, and they're slowly returning. Still much less than before, though.
Wow, FunkyBetter, that's awesome! Maybe I need to be more patient. I've only lost like 5 lbs in 3 months. So great that it affects people so differently.
A year makes a huge difference. Its obvious by looking at your before and after shots! You also sound so much more confident. Can I share this on the GLP1 Before & After subreddit? People post their sema progress pics there and a one year update like yours is a great motivator. Or you could post...
